Tata Motors has revealed the Gravitas 7-seater SUV at auto expo 2020.the gravitas is essentially a longer harrier with a third row of seats. it also comes with BS6-compliant 2.0-litre engine that develops 170PS and 350Nm. transmission options include a 6-speed manual and a new 6-speed automatic sourced from Hyundai.
The Gravitas shares most of its features with the standard harrier. highlights include an 8.8-inch Touchscreen Infotainment with android auto and apple carplay, 9-speaker JBL Sound system, automatic climate control, terrain modes, drive modes, cruise control, a coloured multi-info display, as well ad keyless entry with push-button start. it also packs in a sunroof -- a feature available as a dealer-level accessory in the harrier.
Safety features include 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, a rearview camera, electronic stability program, hill hold control, and hill descent control. The Gravitas is expected to be priced at Rs 1 lakh more than the harrier, which starts from Rs 13.69lakh.its rivals include the Mahindra XUV500 and the upcoming MG Hector 6-seater.
The Gravitas is the right SUV if you like tough looks, and often carry more than 5 members of the familly. the rear seats can be folded to open up a massive boot as well. Is the Gravitas is going to be more practical than the harrier.
